Are you wondering what’s new with Apple iOS8?
Here are some of the hidden features in iOS8 that you might not have known about.
1. New Camera Features
Self Timer for Camera– There is a 3 second and 10 second self timer so that you can set your phone up to take a picture of a group.
Time-lapse for Camera– Take time-lapse pictures with the iOS8 camera.
2. New in Safari
Request a Desktop Version– You can now request a desktop version of a website instead of getting the mobile view.
3. New in Settings
Battery Usage– You can now get an in depth view into battery usage and see what apps are taking up the most battery. There are 2 different views for this- you can view this information over the last 24 hours and the last 7 days.
4. New Spotlight Search
Spotlight search– You can now use spotlight to search outside of just your phone, you can use it to search the internet, movie times, iTunes, the App Store, locations nearby and more.
5. New in Message Settings
Erase Messages after a certain period of time– You can now set messages to delete after 30 days or 1 year. This can save storage space on your phone.
Quick Replies for messages– In your message settings, you can change your message alerts so that you are able to do a quick reply.
6. New in iCloud
Look up users by Apple ID – You can now search for users by Apple ID.
7. New in Weather App
More days in your forecast- You now get more than a week of forecast information as well as more detailed weather conditions.
8. New Siri Features
Siri can tell you what song is playing
“Hey Siri” will launch Siri without pressing a button
